Losing up to 100 strands a day is a natural phenomenon. However, when this number increases and when you notice that you are losing hair more than before and it’s not growing back- then it means that you are experiencing baldness. Various researches say that as many as 85% of men will experience some sort of hair loss in their life that can happen for different reasons.

The most common type of hair loss is Male Pattern Baldness, affecting around half of all men by 50 years of age. Most men have some degree of hair loss by their late thirties as it generally starts around the late twenties or early thirties.

Most Common Cause: Male Pattern Baldness

Male Pattern Baldness is the most common type of hair loss condition in men and almost 95% of men with thinning hair can blame it on this condition. This is a hair loss condition that is caused by your genes that you inherit from your parents.

Male Pattern Baldness

As per studies, our genes affect how sensitive our hair follicles are to a hormone called DHT, which makes them shrink. As they get smaller, the hair that grows back tends to be thinner, finer and shorter. Ultimately, it takes longer for hair to grow back and follicles will shrink so that no hair grows back.

A receding hairline with thinning strands around the crown of your head is what the Male pattern baldness condition looks like. That area will go bald over time, but you’ll still have a horseshoe outline of hair above your ears spinning to the lower back of the head. Men with Male pattern baldness can start to lose their locks as early as their early teens.

The hair usually grows back in a hair loss condition called alopecia areata, a type of autoimmune disease that makes your hair fall out in smooth and round patches.

Which country has the most baldness?

With almost half of the men going bald at 42.79 percent, Baldness is most common in the Czech Republic.

Spain stands on the second-highest number in hair losing men at 42.6 percent.

Germany is next with 41.2 percent of men losing their crowning glory followed by France with 39.24 percent, as per the Quora website.

The United Kingdom has the fifth highest count of smoothed-headed men, with 39.23 percent of males losing hair.

United States comes next after the UK, followed by Italy, Poland, Netherlands, Russia, and Canada.

Hence, it is evident that Europeans are the most likely to go bald out of all other countries.

However in terms of percentage comparison to the overall base, the above countries would easily be overtaken on absolute numbers coming from the other set of countries that fall under the least due to their higher base.

Which country has the least bald men?

On the other hand, China is a country where the number of men who go bald is the least. Some other countries like Japan, Thailand, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Malaysia also have low levels of male pattern baldness.

According to a study called Pathophysiology Psychological Effect, and Management of Androgenetic Alopecia in Men, White men are most likely to be affected by baldness as 30 percent of white men are affected by age 30, by the age of 50 percent men are affected and 80% are affected by age 70.

The condition of androgenetic alopecia also varies with race. White men are more likely to develop baldness as compared to men of Asian, American Indian, and African heritage. Also, the degree of hair loss often is more widespread in white men than in men of the before mentioned other ethnicities.

Some Hair Loss facts

However, here are some hair loss facts that you should know:

  • Both male and female pattern baldness are age-related conditions, and around half of all men will experience some form of hair loss by the time they reach 50.
  • Hereditary baldness is not caused by the hair falling out, but rather by normal hair steadily being replaced by thinner hair.
  • By the age of 50 more than 50 percent of men have male pattern hair loss.
  • By the time they reach menopause forty percent of women will have female pattern hair loss.
  • Many famous myths include that hair loss can be caused by frequent shampooing; wearing hats, clogged pores, or decreased blood flow to the scalp.
  • Mistreating your hair can cause hair loss.

Other Reasons for Hair Loss includes:

  • Medications, such as high doses of vitamin A, blood thinners, and steroids that some men take to help build muscle
  • Diseases like thyroid or anemia
  • Chemotherapy treatments
  • Scalp infections
  • Not taking proper diet like getting too little iron or too much vitamin A
  • Keeping hairstyles like cornrows, tight ponytails, or braids for many years

It took me 1 Year to decide whether I wanted to go through with the hair restoration procedure using a Natural Looking Hair piece. I did a lot of research and consulted with many people who had done the procedure.

I was convinced to go ahead due to the information session / in-depth knowledge and the excellent customer service skills of Sanjay- the manager.

I did the procedure 1 month ago and I can honestly say that it was the best decision ever. Advanced Hair Studio provides the best quality for the Hair Pieces. The staff takes the time to understand what you are looking for as a customer. They style your hair based on your facial structure and I must truly admit that their stylists are pure Artists! My favourite stylist is Mohamad from Lebanon. He does magic with his hands and I am always thrilled with the new styles/ suggestions he provides.

I must admit that AHS is on the more expensive side if you were to consider the other competitors in Dubai. However, it is all worth every penny spent! You will not regret it.

Do not over think it. Just go ahead an do the procedure. You will evolve into a whole new person! Believe me! :-)

I started losing my hair in my mid-twenties and in spite of trying all sorts of treatments it gradually got worse and worse. By my late twenties I started cutting my hair short. Whenever I tried to grow it, it used to look a mess and was impossible to style because of my receding and thinning. I was looking at doing a hair transplant for a while, but I kept delaying it in hope that there was some alternative.

When I was in my mid-thirties I first came across AHS. I was a bit skeptical but I thought I’d find out what they could do. I was expecting a sales pitch but what I learned about hair loss and hair restoration from them was presented in a straightforward and logical way, without lots of medical terminology. They take time to explain the root cause of the problem and explore all the different treatments.

I decided to go ahead with the treatment and as it turns out, having AHS fix my hair was one of the best decisions I ever made. I still cannot believe how good my results are. I just wish I’d done it 10 years earlier rather than wasting so much time (and hair!). I would urge anyone who is thinking of doing something to check them out.
